I Have Waited a LONG Time for These
This morning UPS made me a happy person, he delivered my S/Double Service Shoe. For those who don’t know, S/Double is Shawn Stussy’s new brand, and these shoes are everything I wanted them to be and more. I have been searching for the perfect shoe, something not to dressy but at the same time not too casual. The S/Double Service Shoe is the perfect combination of both. If you can’t tell by now, I am VERY excited to have these shoes in my hands, now to put them on my feet. At this point I need to address my other shoes:
Dear Converse Chuck Taylor,
I’m sorry, you and I go way back and this is going to hurt me more then it hurts you, but theirs someone else. No, it’s nothing you did. There was nothing you said. I feel we just have grown apart. We can still be friends. It’s not like I am asking for a divorce, I just want don’t think I can commit to you any longer. This new shoe just represents a new beginning for me, well not so much new but just rekindling an affair from 10 years ago. I will always have a place for you in my closet Converse, and I promise I will still bring you out, probably on the weekend with shorts, or when we are working around the house. Those were always special times for us. I hope you understand.
Dear Shawn, thank you for making this shoe. I will wear these shoes with pride. Also, thank you for the note, very much appreciated.

Recently we were introduced to 123Klan via Jeremy Wirth. We have been fans of 123Klan for years so it was nice to get the introduction. Along with the introduction came a box of goodies. A big thank you to Scien and Mrs Klor for the care package, we will represent with pride.

When I was a kid I dreamed of having a PK Ripper. We were luck enough to get one of the 300 26′ PK Rippers that The Hundreds did with SE Bikes and where is it going to go? On a wall. I spent all that time wishing for a bike, finally get it and it’s going to hang on the wall. The irony here is that we had to put the bike together, why is that ironic? We did not have any tools with the exception of a pocket knife, some sort of screw driver handle but with no attachments, and a ruler. And yes even with it going on to a wall, we still had to take the reflectors off, old habits are hard to break.

Thankfully 530 mascot Stitch was there to supervise the process of building the bike, or perhaps she was just looking for snacks?
It’s Official
I am much closer to 40, then 20. At one time I used to “borrow” music, now I subscribe to podcast of “This American Life”. I used to listen to music as loud as I could play it in my car (and still do sometimes), now I often find myself driving in silence. Happy Birthday to me.
